Williamsburg English Country Dance Workshop
We try to offer a workshop every year, inviting a caller from outside the community to help us work on technique and expand our repertoire. Recent instructors at the Williamsburg workshop have included Joanna Reiner Wilkinson, Scott Higgs, and David Millstone.
On Saturday, September 7, 2024, we will join the Colonial Dance Club of Richmond in hosting caller Bruce Hamilton for an afternoon and evening of dance, with music by Janet Muse and Mike Dunn. The event will be held at the Deep Run Recreation Center (9900 Ridgefield Parkway, Henrico, VA), with an afternoon workshop from 1:30-4:30pm and an evening dance from 6:30-9:30pm. The cost is $15 per session or $25 for the day. Due to Henrico County facility regulations we will not be able to accept payment at the door; please pre-register with the flier, available for download here.
The Colonial Dance Club of Richmond will also be offering a potluck dinner followed by a lecture given by Bruce Hamilton on the evening before the workshop (Friday, September 6), with doors opening at 6pm and dinner at 6:30. Contact the Colonial Dance Club of Richmond for more information.
